Who Are We?

About Us

Sells Goalkeeper Products is a brand exclusively for goalkeepers. We understand as part of the “union” that the goalkeeper is a specialist, just as we are. As nearly every rule change, ball or boot development, appears to be to the detriment of the goalkeeper, we see it as our mission to redress the balance. It is not easy dealing with a wet, slippery ball flying towards you at eighty miles per hour! View our range of goalkeeper gloves.

Our aim is simple... To provide the goalkeeper with the very best tools to carry out what is a very difficult job on a soccer pitch. Recently Sells managing director Adam Sells met with a potential endorsee and asked what he thought of the new models. He was in Spain and took along a translator to help.

He need not have worried, as quality is recognised in any language. When Adam quizzically asked his compatriot what the goalkeeper said, she replied: "He said this is another level, way beyond anything he has used before."Since the brand's inception we have strived to provide the goalkeeper with the very best latex and cutting edge materials, innovation and attention to detail.

As the years have past, success has meant that the brand has spread far and wide, but those principles and the desire to be "the" brand for goalkeepers remain.

Needless to say, that particular goalkeeper is now one of the Sells Goalkeeper Products leading ambassadors and we continue our efforts to raise the bar again…

Our History

Sells Goalkeeper Products was formed by managing director, Adam Sells, in 2002 after initially developing the Selsport brand and previously introducing the French brand BGB to the UK.

Adam has a strong goalkeeping background having worked as coach with both Charlton Athletic and Crystal Palace over the past fifteen years.

Sells’ shareholders also include many from the goalkeeping fraternity, including Dean Kiely, Andy Marshall, Kelvin Davis and Jerzy Dudek to name but a few.

Kiely, an original shareholder in the brand, was the first goalkeeper to be seen sporting the SGP logo when he kept a clean sheet for Charlton Athletic against Middlesbrough at The Riverside Stadium on the 3rd February 2002.

Since the brand’s inception the net has spread far and wide and the Sells name is now firmly established as one of the top sellers in the category across the globe.

Today, the brand has a presence in every major European league and boasts many of the game's leading names amongst its endorsees.

Just as it was in the beginning, Sells is today striving to provide goalkeepers all over the world with the very best materials and latest product technology.

We hope to continue to innovate for many years to come and enjoy the continued success at the highest level of the game.

Over the past years, many of our endorsees have helped shape the history of the brand with the pinnacle being Jerzy Dudek and Liverpool winning the UEFA Champions League trophy in Istanbul 2005.
