The Turkish international started his career with Adanaspor, making his top-flight debut against Konyaspor in March 2004.
He moved to fellow Super Liga side Ankaragucu the following season and went on to make 127 league appearances in a five-year spell.
Serkan's form clinched a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce but unable to force his way into the first-team picture, he switched to Caykur Rizespor in 2013.
A top-flight regular for two seasons, he joined Konyaspor in 2015 where he has won both the Turkish Cup and Turkish Super Cup.
A former Turkey international from U18 to U21 levels, he was called into the senior squad for the first time in May 2018 and made his debut in a 2-1 friendly win against Iran.
