Sells send best wishes to Ikeme
Adam Sells has extended his best wishes to long term Sells Goalkeeper Products endorsee, Carl Ikeme, following his retirement from football this summer.
Ikeme is now in remission following a 12-month battle with acute leukaemia, and he is now spending some time off with his family before making a decision on his next career move.
"It's sad that Carl has had to retire from the game but it's fantastic that he's in remission following a very tough year," said Sells. "He is a wonderful fella, one of the best I've ever dealt with in football, and I hope to see him back in the game in some capacity because I know he has so much more to give."
Ikeme made 274 career appearances in all competitions, with over 200 of them coming for Wolverhampton Wanderers, the club he joined in 2000 as a 14-year-old.
He went on to win two promotions with the club and ten international caps for Nigeria, who honoured him at this summer's World Cup by naming him as their 24th squad member.
Sells added: "Carl has been a true servant to Wolves and also a wonderful endorsee for Sells Goalkeeper Products.
"We've had a fantastic relationship from both a personal and professional point of view and I'm sure that our relationship will continue as Carl looks positively to the future."
