A youth player with Guadalajara, he made his breakthrough with Rayo Vallecano B in 2007 and appeared regularly in the fourth tier and Segunda Division B.

In June 2011 he made his professional debut for the first team against Barcelona B in the Segunda Division before joining fellow second-tier club Hercules the following month.

Signing for Cordoba in July 2013, he helped the Andalusians return to La Liga for the first time in 42 years and made his top-flight debut against Real Madrid in August 2014.

He was a regular that season, appearing 32 times in La Liga, before returning to Rayo Vallecano in August 2015, where he made a further 21 appearances at the highest level.

He has since played in the second tier with spells at Elche, Lugo – where he scored from his own half in a win against Sporting de Gijon on his 30th birthday – and now Girona.
