Starting his professional career with home town club Preston North End, Andy went on to make over 200 league appearances in ten years with the Deepdale club.
A three-time winner of the club’s Player of the Year award, he moved to Leeds United for the 2011/12 season before switching to fellow second-tier side Bolton Wanderers for three years.
Andy has led a somewhat nomadic existence since, spending single seasons with Championship sides Leeds United and Middlesbrough, with a loan spell spent at Rochdale in 2018/19.
In July 2019, he signed for Liverpool to provide back-up due to injury, and was included on the bench for the 2019 UEFA Super Cup and both of the Reds’ FIFA Club World Cup games.
A former England U20 keeper, he has amassed over 400 career appearances to date.
